Read with us in 2025!

As a church this year, we are going to read through the whole Bible Chronologically.  While it seems like a lot, it actually only takes about 12 minutes a day.

The Bible Recap plan includes a short daily podcast you can listen to later for explanation of what you heard. With this resource, you’ll no longer close your Bible and think, “What did I just read?”

Using the YouVersion App to  read the Bible allows you to join others from our church and gives you access to the daily recap videos right in the app.

THE NUMBER 1 REASON PEOPLE QUIT A BIBLE READING PLAN...

They miss 1, 2, 3,..7 days and stop because they don’t feel like they’ll ever catch up. With the podcast or videos, if you miss a day or week, you’ll still  be able to understand what you’re reading.

If you miss, don’t feel the pressure to catch up. The goal of reading the Bible is not accomplishing the whole thing but rather hearing from God through his word. Of course, if you need to check off the box everyday, you can go back but don’t let missing a day lead you to quit.

Reading Plan FAQ

Where can I find the daily podcast?
You can use your podcast app of choice and search, "The Bible Recap" to find it. You can also listen to it through Spotify or Apple Podcasts
What can I do to set myself up for success?
Before you start, you need to make two decisions:

1. Pick Your Time: When will you read or listen to the Bible? Will it be first thing in the morning, on your drive to work, at lunch or after dinner? Also, how much time will you spend in God's word and prayer? It will take about 12-15 minutes to go through the chapters but then you might want to leave time to pray about what you heard. You can also either listen to the podcast/video right after you read or later in the day.

2. Pick Your Place: Choosing where you will read or listen is crucial. It might be in your kitchen, in the living room or in your car on the way to work each day. Having your place allows you to have one less decision that might hinder your reading.
