Reggie Hill

Speaker
Pastor Reggie Hill has been serving in Youth and Young Adult Ministries for 15 years. He was born and raised in the Metro Detroit area, and pastors there now at Journey Church, Kenosha. God has given him a deep compassion for young people and a heart to lead them into deeper relationship with Jesus. His desire is to see the Holy Spirit transform their lives in a way that last forever. He’s also passionate about seeing students develop as leaders and step into the calling God has placed on each one. 

In his spare time, he loves spending time with his wife, Jade, and their daughter, Carter, watching movies, playing sports, reading and listening to podcasts.

Winter Retreat F.A.Q.

When & Where is Retreat?
Winter Retreat is happening Friday, February 20, until Sunday, February 22 at the Tuscarora Conference Center in Tuscarora, PA.
Who is Retreat for?
Retreat is for any student in grades 7-12. We invite both those who attend Connection Church, and their friends. Because this weekend includes a lot of small group time, it will benefit friends to join us at CXN YTH Wednesday services a couple of times prior to retreat.
What happens at Retreat?
Retreat is a chance for students to spend some focused time deepening their faith in Christ and growing in their friendships with one another. Students will have the opportunity to participate in four engaging services, lots of fun activities, and special times with their small groups.  
How much does Winter Retreat cost?
The cost is $200 per student. This covers your student's housing, meals (Friday dinner to Sunday lunch), all activities, transportation, and a retreat t-shirt!
What if I need financial assistance?
We want to make sure every student who wants to attend Retreat can. If you’re in need of financial assistance to attend retreat, please contact Pastor Carrie at carrie@cometoconnect.com.
Where do I make payments?
For your convenience, payments can be made online. Once you’ve registered your student(s), you’ll receive an email with a link to make your payment.

If you prefer to make a payment through cash or check, you can do so using our offering envelopes on Sunday, or sending it with your student on Wednesday.

Checks should be made out to Connection Church with your student’s name and “Winter Retreat” in the memo line.
What should I bring to Retreat?

What are the sleeping arrangments?
Our guys and girls will be in separate buildings, with adult leaders of the same gender in each one.  We choose student housing, but we always try to room students with their small groups.
Can my student bring their phone?
No. We want your student to get the most connection with Jesus, and each other, this weekend. Because of this, we ask students to leave phones at home so that they don’t become a distraction during services, free time or late at night. We’ve done this retreat phone-free every year, and found that it’s allowed students to connect more deeply and think more clearly. Thanks for your help facilitating this request.
What if my student has dietary restrictions?
Tuscarora does an amazing job working with all different dietary needs. In the registration/permission slip, you can let us know what your student’s dietary needs are, and we’ll be able to meet them.
When do I need to register?
Registration/Permission Slip & $100 Deposit due by Wednesday, November 26.

Each Student must be registered, have a permission slip filled out by a parent or guardian, and their deposit made by Wednesday, November 26.

Each student will also need to fill out the Student Agreement Form to attend.
